[Wanda is heading out of the apartment building, intent on spending at least part of the day looking for the small quartz crystals she uses in her meditation. Any crystal would do, though if she can somehow find the ones she left behind in the item shop (her jewelry showed up, so why not the rocks?), that would be great.
Yes indeed-- it's good to have an excuse to get out!]
[Loki does not like to stay inside much. He is someone who likes to run around and be everywhere inside. Unless if he could bestow great sandwiches upon everyone. With extra syrup and pickles.
There is a girl walking before him when he hurries out of Community Building 5 with a fair stack of books in his arms.]
[Wanda turns, surprised by the unfamiliar voice. She's either done very well at avoiding her neighbors, or very poorly at getting to know them. Either way, this walking stack of books of is unfamiliar to her.]
...oh! [She moves forward and to the side, quickly, and then, realizing how full his arms are,] Let me get the door for you. Do you need help?
Oh! Oh no..! [Wanda moves forward, kneeling down to help gather books, and look at the now visible book-owner, to see if he's alright. ]
Are you ok? Please-- let me help, here. ["Less fine" is pretty vague. He looks uninjured, though. He also looks like a kid.] ... Where are you taking all these books?
Ahh... [She nods. The library. A place a non-reader such as herself hasn't much business going to. Though it crackles up a few memories from the event, where she was all about that place.]
I'm-- new, yeah. I mean... About two months, but who's counting. ... My name's Wanda. [Might as well try to be friendly? Yes?]
[She cocks her head to the side. She feels like she should know that name, but she can't really remember where from. It's a nice name, anyway, though it kind of sounds like a girl's name, to her.] That's a very pretty name. ...How long have you been here for?
[She stands up, still holding on to some of his books, so he won't be quite so overloaded this time.]
[Well, by Odin's empty eyesocket, that is the first time he got a response like that... A pretty name. Well, perhaps Loki also is a damned pretty name.]
A year, I believe. I have lost count, to be fair.
[He picks up the heavy pile of books without breaking a sweat.]
Do you wish me to elaborate about all my fantastic adventures and the like? I am sure you do.
A year?... If I'm old after only two months, then you must be positively ancient. [She smiles to show she's only teasing. After all, he looks younger than she is. She feels rather bad for him-- just a kid, pulled away from home for over a year?]
I... would love to hear of your-- 'Fantastic adventures' of all sorts, yes.
We die but come back again. Death is not forever here. It is but a phase.
[He shrugs.]
You do get punished for dying, though. They rather do not want to bring you back to the world of living again, it might imply that it is a difficult process.
Just make sure not to get into dangerous situations.
[This is all news to Wanda.] I... had not planned on dying for quite some time, if I could help it... I didn't-- realize that-- being brought back was even an option.
[When what situation occurs-- dying, or being brought from the dead? Because either way, Wanda doesn't exactly have plans, no.]
I, ahh-- I've met a few people, yes. I'm... not sure if we're friends yet, but I'd like to be, very much so. [She's opting to ignore the death-related comments for now. They're kind of creepy.]
Hmm. Well... I know-- Billy and... Teddy. Hrm. Bulla is very sweet. ... Kurt. He's from my world. Kurt, I mean.
[She shrugs, and then glances as him as he asks his second question.] ... I don't think I'm goth. I'm just-- me. [You're a little bit goth, Wanda. Just a little bit.] I think I like happier music. Or maybe sometimes-- angry? I... had not considered the eyeliner though. [She contemplates, trying to think what this would look like. She makes a face. It's not going well, in her imagination.]
I know all four of them. Billy is my bff and Teddy is his bff in many kinds of ways. And Bulla has charming blue hair.
Kurt is fond of sour food and wooing ladies.
[He nods, its a good choice in friends you have there, Wanda.]
But Kurt of the Sour Kraut is from your world? Please elaborate about your world, I am most curious. I hail from Asgardia, I think the rest of the story is very, very old news.
[Bulla DOES have charming blue hair. Kurt being fond of wooing ladies is news to her. It sort of makes her a little angry, though she's not sure why.]
Ah. Hmn. Our world? ... Well. There are humans and mutants. And mutants are slowly replacing the humans. ... But some of the humans don't like that we're superior, so they try to hurt us, and wage war upon our kind. ... Some mutants side with the humans, in trying to oppress us. ... I don't understand that. [She's not sure what's worth telling or what's not. No one's really asked, before. For all she knows, the fact that her world has a blue sky could be some hugely impressive thing that she's leaving out.]
Well... if you know Billy-- I have the same powers as him. ... I hex things, and ... make things happen. [She always felt a little dumb trying to explain her powers. No "Oh I heal really fast" or "I can walk through walls" or "I teleport" or anything like that. Nope. Just-- 'I make things happen.' Ugh.]
I've met some people who call themselves aliens, here. Bulla's a-- hm. 'Saiyan'. ...Is there a word for what you are? [She didn't want to misclassify anyone. ] ... Why-- would you remain neutral?
[Loki's eyebrows raise briefly. It is a connection that is rather easy to make, really. Same powers, stories about the mutant uprising. This might be the mother he spoke of. The younger version of his mother? He stares a bit longer at her and finally turns to his books again.]
I am extremely witty and most charming.
[He shakes his head.]
I am Loki Laufeyson of the House of Odin. Even though I am most fond of Midgard I am not a Midgardian. I am from Asgard, you see?
I think most definitely quite cool is a good description for me.
[Wanda and Billy actually share a certain family resemblance, not that Wanda's noticed, just yet. She is delightfully dense at times.
A lot of what Loki just said was complete gibberish to Wanda. Midgard? Odin? She can't help but give a small laugh at his completely immodest self-description.]
I... certainly haven't seen anything that would-- say otherwise, so far.

[She moves forward to try and do as she offered.]

I think I am fine.
[A couple of steps...]
Yes, fine.
[A stone... And he stumbles and the books are everywhere.]
I wish to withdraw the fine and replace that with a less fine.
[Action] September 3rd
Are you ok? Please-- let me help, here. ["Less fine" is pretty vague. He looks uninjured, though. He also looks like a kid.] ... Where are you taking all these books?

[Some of the books he used for his dangerous stunt to get back home. It was about time he brought them back.]
Are you new here?

I'm-- new, yeah. I mean... About two months, but who's counting. ... My name's Wanda. [Might as well try to be friendly? Yes?]

[He stacks the books neatly.]
Nice to meet you, Wanda. My name is Loki. Loki Laufeyson of the house of Odin.
[He flashes a smile, pretty much expecting somekind of interesting response from her.]

That is quite similar to the story Billy of New York told me, yes. I wish to remain neutral in this situation.
I am neither mutant or human.
Do you also have special powers? If so, what powers are they?
