[Loki nods while he pulls a chunk of cheese out of the fridge, and ham, and a lot of impossible things that do not belong on a sandwich.]

[He places everything on the table and goes to fetch some bread.]

[She laughs, and takes a few more normal things out of the fridge. When Loki returns with the bread she plucks it out of his hand with a smile.]

Here, let me make your sandwich for you.

[A pause]

My name is Susan, Susan Richards, the Invisible Woman. What's yours?

[Loki blinks when she takes his bread but doesn't protest when she offers to make a sandwich for him.]

Aye!

[He moves to hand over the ketchup as well. Since sandwiches require ketchup at all times.]

For an invisible woman one is rather visible.

[He imitates her a bit when he tells his name.]

My name is Loki, Loki Laufeyson, the visible god of mischief.

[Sue laughs at his joke, and holds up a hand that is, in fact, invisible. And when he tells her his name she stops just short, and sucks in a breath, her expression changing from warm to a glare.]

Loki. Your name is Loki? What sort of joke is this?

[Obviously she's familiar with your NOT so nice older self]

It is not a joke.

[Loki notices he is not really in the right mood for glares or the general disdain that follows after he gives others his name. He takes the sandwich back from her (invisible) hand and returns to the table, deciding that ham and peanut butter could be a delicious combination.]

Hold on there. I wasn't finished making that for you.

[She shakes her head, and the sandwich floats back, carried on a semi-visible plate of energy. Sue knows he's not an illusion, or her powers would've cut right through it.]

Sorry, are there two of you...er...2 Loki's running around Luceti, or just the one? The Loki I know is a lot older, and definitely a lot meaner.

[Loki rolls his eyes and huffs, partially at the sandwich that gets taken away from him and partially at the constant referrals to his older self.]

I have a splendid solution for this problem. When Midgardians who are strangers to one another meet eachother in a formal way they wear these small...name tags..yes?

[He points at his chest.]

[Alright, have your sandwich, it floats back full of good, healthy stuff. She can't be mean or angry to a kid, honestly.]

[And then she starts making her own sandwich. A question comes to mind after a minute. What sort of world could he be from?]

[Of course he knows the Avengers and of course he knows of the Fantastic Four...and...oh....oh! While an overly healthy sandwich floats his way he starts smiling.]

[Sue smiles and heads over to the fridge, taking out a container of juice and pouring them both glasses, setting one down beside the boy. She takes a seat and asks another question with a wry smile.]

How'd you get to be so young? In my time, Loki's an angry guy with horns, not a cute kid.

[Loki moves to rearrange the healthy toppings on his sandwich.]

I am not the most people, no. Yet, I can ask you for an autograph, yes? I promise I shall hang it above my head and cherish it like a lot of Midgardians do.

[For a second the look on Loki's face darkens a bit.]

I am a child, most children are rather young.

I am also not angry.

[He smiles again.]

[Distractedly, Sue pulls out a pen and signs a notepad that's been floating around the kitchen for a while. To Young, Not Angry Loki, from Susan.]

Um, can I ask...how'd you get to be so adorable? [He really is...] Some sort of spell that made you young?

Did something happen to the other Asgardians? Or Asgard?

[IE: Should I be looking out for a bunch of pint-sized gods?]

[Loki looks at the autograph he has received and places the paper next to his plate.

When she talks again he looks up, busy chewing on his sandwich. Adorable? This is offically the first time someone made a connection between the word 'adorable' and his own person.]

[After that he shakes his head, trying to contain his laughter.]

Susan Richards, the world of online should have been more specific about one's wit!

[She just shakes her head and laughs, taking a bite of sandwich]

I'm glad to hear it. It's been a while since I've seen Thor, he's off fighting Ragnarok or something in my time I think.

[The expression on his face remains unchanged, yet it saddens him to realize Thor is still dead. But Thor being dead is not something he prefers to talk about.]

If I am correct Ragnarok is not a threat to Asgard at the moment.

[He taps his chin shortly and decides that the internet is a far better subject to talk about than Thor or Ragnarok.]

Aye! It is very entertaining. It amuses me greatly. I am very fond of these chatting rooms, where Midgardians gather to communicate.

[Right, Ragnarok is kind of weird. Isn't it a circle? Sue doesn't keep up with Norse mythology too well.]

Oh? Do you really enjoy chat rooms? I hadn't thought that the internet existed in Asgard.

[Loki takes a sip of his drink.]

They are much able to pick up a connection from the town of Broxton. Midgardians tend to forget to encrypt their connections to the world of online.

Ah, yea. StarkPhones are pretty nice. I prefer Reed's redesign though

[She nods]

[Sue strokes her chin]

Your brother returned from Ragnarok, to...Broxton. I suppose that's as good a place as any for Asgard. Well that's a load off. I was worried about your brother. He's a good guy.

[Loki watches her and listens closely. When she is done he opens his mouth and simply says:]

Thor is dead now.

Oh.

[Well that stung. She drops her cup and it breaks against the floor with a crash.]

Oh, I'm so sorry. God Almighty, I'm sorry for prattling on like...an old hen.

[Loki raises his eyebrows at the cup crashing onto the floor]

Do not worry.

[Loki smiles.]

He died a saviour.

[Thor's death is not a subject he wants to talk about over lunch. So he stays quiet and focuses on chewing on his sandwich while watching Susan picking up those pieces of glass.]
