From one user of magic to another, I have a question for all of those who practice the art of magic or sorcery. Are there some of you where this is a talent that is hidden within one’s genes or is it mere talent? Or is it something one generates from spells out of books? Or are there some who utilize magic wands or some other magic artifact?

This is meant to start an interesting discussion about the usage of magic, you see? To create a bond between magic users... A magical bond!

No way in hel Loki is going to announce that he is not quite able to do magic on his own and that most of his efforts end up in giant headaches and maybe one or two floating objects. And no way he will leave it to just one question. Loki likes asking questions.

May I ask who is pranking my older self? Because to burden him with such an interesting hair do is mischief of a very advanced kind. As the god of mischief I wish to bestow great compliments upon him on her.

What does one give to a maiden with an interesting hair color? Something matching with her hair color? A brush to comb that hair? Or a ribbon?

Or maybe something so she can indulge herself into the act of shopping and try on different outfits? After all, that is what most maidens are very, very fond of.

Hmm, I am torn between two answers, Grune. That one's life must be satisfying as it is, or just very empty and meaningless.

[She smiles a little at his response. While her life always will have meaning--she came into being for a specific purpose, after all--sometimes, it's difficult to tell whether it is satisfying or empty.

Usually, she does not have the luxury of time to ponder this. However, in Luceti, time is something they all have in large amounts.]

I value memories. How painful they might be.

And yes, of course I am most wise.

Memories should be valued. Whether they are painful or pleasant, they are important nonetheless.

[It's a lesson she wishes certain of her friends were more receptive to. They would not be so quick to wish their memories away if they had a better idea of the consequences for doing so.]

I am very sure some wish to temper with their memories but forgetting all that has been hurtful will not make you a better person, you see?

I see where you are coming from. And I do not ask you to reveil his or her name. But if you might know this anonymous, do tell him or her that I, Loki Laufeyson, sympathize.

I will. It is always important to know that there is support available during a difficult time.

Well, he seems to have a constant difficult time. As in, a continuous period of doom and gloom and not quite willing to see beyond that.

[Loki is a wise perhaps-not-so-young man.]

It is true that outlook sometimes makes life here harder to bear. Perhaps I should have said during a particularly difficult time.

If you choose to revel in negativity and bitterness and anger, every time is a difficult time. Because one's mind would probably find a way to twist even the most joyous moments into something painful and difficult.

You are correct. And that would only continue the cycle of misery, until it became very difficult indeed to escape it.

[But not impossible. No matter how bleak a situation may appear, she believes some hope always remains.]

[Loki understands such a thing a bit more than Grune could imagine.]

What would you do to prevent such a cycle from happening?

Much of it is reliant upon the individual breaking it for themself. Those such as you and I may show them a better way to live, but we cannot change their life for them.

[Otherwise, the change will never last.]

It is a decision they have to take for themselves. Yet, I do think some encouragement might be of help. Like introducing them to most exciting things they have never been introduced to before.

Sometimes one cannot break a cycke by themselves.

This is very true. Once again, you are wise to understand this.

But what manner of "most exciting things" would you suggest for such a person?

[Loki has been confronted with such matters almost every time of his (rather short) life in Asgard. He's got this.]

...friendship can be of great help. Or...the knowledge that you are not entirely alone. But that is related to friendship again, you see? So that might be that friendship is the main ingredient of that pie made up out of exciting things!

I agree. [She smiles a little in advance of her next words.] Cultivating friendships between others is one of the most important of my duties. No one, no matter who they are, is meant to be alone.

[And this belief of hers will never change, whether her memories are bound or free.]
