I have everyone’s attention, yes? Good, very good.

From one user of magic to another, I have a question for all of those who practice the art of magic or sorcery. Are there some of you where this is a talent that is hidden within one’s genes or is it mere talent? Or is it something one generates from spells out of books? Or are there some who utilize magic wands or some other magic artifact?

This is meant to start an interesting discussion about the usage of magic, you see? To create a bond between magic users... A magical bond!

[Oh, the pun!

No way in hel Loki is going to announce that he is not quite able to do magic on his own and that most of his efforts end up in giant headaches and maybe one or two floating objects. And no way he will leave it to just one question. Loki likes asking questions.

May I ask who is pranking my older self? Because to burden him with such an interesting hair do is mischief of a very advanced kind. As the god of mischief I wish to bestow great compliments upon him on her.

What does one give to a maiden with an interesting hair color? Something matching with her hair color? A brush to comb that hair? Or a ribbon?

Or maybe something so she can indulge herself into the act of shopping and try on different outfits? After all, that is what most maidens are very, very fond of.

That's a loaded question. I do want to go home, of course- that's where my family is, it's where I belong. But there's a lot going on back there that makes being here pretty nice, too. So yeah, I'm happy. But when this is over I'll be glad to go back.

And what if there is very little you want from life?

Hmm, I am torn between two answers, Grune. That one's life must be satisfying as it is, or just very empty and meaningless.

It would not hurt to increase the level of bad ass a little bit more, Ben.

[Loki smiles and contemplates the other's question. What fighting does he do? Well, he knows how to handle a bow and arrow.]

I prefer long distance fights.

[Yeah, that pretty much covers it. He is not quite as good at pummelings or anything regarding using a fist.]

I think words hold more power than any weapon does. Others tend to underestimate such a thing, you see?

It's loaded because the answer is kind of complicated for everyone, far as I can tell. Most people have good reasons to stay or go.

That leaves witchcraft, witchery wizardry, echantments, thaumaturgy, incantations and the black arts.

I value memories. How painful they might be.

After all, pummeling can do only so much. Break a bone. Bruise the skin. Words, on the other hand, tend to linger. Root themselves in one's memory, influencing who we are and what we will become.

[It's a test, of sorts. Anything she programs for herself alone will be more dangerous than what she programs with Loki in there with her. She wants to see if he'll realize that and hurry, and also how interested he really is in observing her ability with paper.]

You can heal wounds, but words... They stick like glue. People can use 'em to really get the best of you. Or they can lift you up.

[She does have to wonder if he'll show up earlier or not. Either way, she'll have a paper butterfly watching out from the ceiling by the entrance of the Battle Dome.]

[Undecided, huh? Well, if he's treated like crap in Asgard, that would make sense. If he didn't have a life beyond high school - if he didn't have powers, or the Young Avengers, or even Teddy - he'd probably be torn about it, too.

He starts for the 'W' section, thumbing through the spines with furrowed brows.]

[Though probably unhelpful.]

[His agreement makes her smile a little more. It's a warmer expression this time, and less regretful.]

Memories should be valued. Whether they are painful or pleasant, they are important nonetheless.

[It's a lesson she wishes certain of her friends were more receptive to. They would not be so quick to wish their memories away if they had a better idea of the consequences for doing so.]

It pleases me that we see eye to eye about this.

[Loki nods and smiles.]

Words can even bring the toughest warrior down. So it would be a shame to depend on one's skills in battle alone.
